LDF promises pensions to housewives in Kerala for upcoming assembly elections.

The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala released the manifesto on Friday for the upcoming assembly elections.

It promises a pension for housewives and 40 lakh jobs for youth in the next five years. The manifesto also talks about starting 15,000 startups.

A 900-point manifesto was released in the presence of LDF convenor and CPI-in-charge State Secretary A Vijay Raghavan, CPI Secretary Kanam Rajendran, and other LDF leaders at the AKG Center.

Chief Minister P Vijayan was not present on this occasion due to his involvement in the election campaign in the Palakkad district.

LDF promises pensions to housewives in Kerala: Promised to increase farmers’ income by 50 percent.

The manifesto states that realizing the importance of work, housewives will be given a pension. However, no amount of pension or any other information has been given.

It also promised to increase the social security pension in various categories from Rs 1,600 to 2,500 and increase the income of farmers by 50 percent, along with employment for the youth.

Vijay Raghavan said that the LDF government fulfilled 580 promises out of 600 made in the last election.

There will be a phase voting on April 6. The result of these elections will come on May 2.
