Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government on Saturday extended the lockdown due to Corona till November 15 and has also given some relaxation in restrictions to the public.

The ban on festivals and political events will continue in the state amid the Corona transition.

The state government extended the lockdown till October 31 last month after a meeting chaired by Chief Minister MK Stalin. It has now been extended for another 15 days with effect from November 1.

The deadline for the closure of shops and restaurants in the state at 11 pm will be removed from today.

From November 1, school classes will be allowed to open and function on an alternate day basis. During this, permission has been given to open standalone bars.

100 percent audience allowed in cinemas from November 1.

The state government has also given permission for 100 percent of the audience in cinemas from November 1. Transport rules have also been relaxed by the government.

Except for Kerala-bound buses, all buses can run with 100% passengers. There can be full attendance in government training centers.

Indoor and outdoor sports training and swimming pools for medical purposes have also been allowed from Saturday.

In the midst of the extension of the lockdown and the easing of restrictions, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people to avoid public gatherings.

Ex-serviceman husband and four children commit suicide after wife dies of black fungus in Karnataka.

A retired soldier and his four children committed suicide over the death of his wife due to black fungus in Belagavi, Karnataka.

Gopal Hadimani, 46, and his four children, 19-year-old Sovamya, 16-year-old Shweta, 11-year-old Sakshi, and eight-year-old Srijan Hadimani, died after consuming poison in a village in Hukkeri taluka on Friday night, police said on Saturday.

When no family member was seen in the morning, the neighbors got suspicious and informed the police. The police informed the relatives.

Relatives said Hadimani was broken in July after his wife died of a black fungus post-Covid-19. A relative said, ‘He and his children used to tell us that they cannot live without him.’

Relatives said the children had not given any indication about a suicide move in the phone conversation.
