Lucknow Bomb Blast Conspiracy: Asad Badruddin Arrested

Lucknow Bomb Blast Conspiracy: PFI Commander Badruddin was in touch with the Bangladeshi terrorist organization.

Many serious facts have come to light during the interrogation of the Popular Front of India (PFI) commander Asad Badruddin and trainer Feroz Khan, arrested from Lucknow on charges of conspiracy to terrorize the country.

Both were in direct contact with the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), a terrorist organization in Bangladesh, and had also visited Bangladesh in the past before coming to Lucknow.

Sources say that with the help of active members of JMB, they arranged the explosive and there was a conspiracy to use it in different parts of the country.

After these facts are revealed, the investigating agencies are now investigating other active members of PFI who were in contact with both of them in UP.

Both the accused were also interrogated by the IB officials on Tuesday night and the facts were revealed to the Ministry of Home Affairs. There may be the arrest of some other accused soon.

The STF has referred both the accused to the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). The ATS has registered an FIR under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Age Act, Explosive Substances Act, criminal conspiracy, and conspiracy to terrorize using criminal force.

The ATS produced the two in tight security Wednesday afternoon in the ADJ Court in Lucknow, from where they were sent to jail for 14 days in judicial custody.

Lucknow Bomb Blast Conspiracy: According to ATS officials, the court has granted a seven-day police custody remand of both the accused from 10 am on Thursday.

The ATS and other agencies will now interrogate them afresh. It is believed that Rauf, the national general secretary of CFI, caught from Kerala, can also be confronted.

According to an official, both the accused have been in direct contact with members of PFI and CFI in Lucknow, Bahraich, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Barabanki, Meerut, and some other districts, after which the teams of STF and ATS have been exposed to several districts.

It has also been reported that groups of up to 25-25 youths have been formed in these cities by the terrorist organization, which has been named Hit Squad. These youths are being trained to make weapons and fire with petrol bombs.

Sources say that both had come to Lucknow on 11 February itself. Both took tickets from Katihar in Bihar to Lokmanya Tilak Terminal in Mumbai on 11 February.

Five other members were also traveling with him. When the STF team tried to find him on the train at Mirjapur railway station, they got a clue from the police and both escaped.

The STF arrested both the accused on Tuesday evening and thwarted the huge conspiracy of terrorist attacks at important places and programs of Hindu organizations in Lucknow around Vasant Panchami.

ADG law and order Prashant Kumar had said that the two terrorists who were arrested were plotting terror attacks simultaneously in different parts of the country.

Had a room in Gudamba

Badruddin and Feroze came to Lucknow and contacted their partners. In the interrogation of both, STF has also received information about taking a room on rent in their Gudumba area. However, according to officials, that house has not been identified yet.
