Maharashtra ATS registers case under Arms Act: Raigad unclaimed boat case.

The ATS of the Maharashtra state has registered a case under the Arms Act in connection with the suspicious boat found on the beach in Raigad, Maharashtra.

On Thursday, some live cartridges along with 3 AK 47s were recovered from this suspicious boat. The police later also recovered two swords and two choppers (sharp knives) from the boat.

This unclaimed boat was found at Harihareshwar beach located in the Raigad district. Harihareshwar beach is 200 kms from Mumbai and 170 kms from Pune.

A lifeboat was also found in Bharadkhol, about 32 km from the Harihareshwar coast, after which the fear of a terrorist conspiracy deepened.

Giving information about this, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the boat belonged to an Australian citizen, who was going from Muscat to Europe.

According to the information received so far, the engine of the boat was damaged in the sea. Keeping in mind the upcoming festive season, the police and administration have been alerted.

He told that three AK-47 rifles were found in the boat. In half broken condition, the boat came towards Konkan coast due to high tide.

Central agencies have been informed. Any possibility of any consequence will not be taken lightly.

The investigation of a suspicious boat equipped with A-47 is going on along the beach in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Thursday.

During the search for this boat, two swords and knives have also been found today. Maharashtra ATS DIG Paramjit Singh Dahiya and Raigad SP Ashok Dudhe reached the spot for investigation.

3 AK-47 rifles, more than 600 cartridges, two swords, and knives have been recovered from this suspicious boat.

The investigation of this suspicious boat is going on. The boat is still likely to have a large number of cartridges and magazines in the boat.

At present, teams of the National Investigation Agency, Customs, ATS, Crime Branch, and local police are present for investigation.

Earlier yesterday, Maharashtra ATS Chief Vineet Agarwal, while giving information about this, said that the investigation of this matter is going on.

We recovered some papers from the boat and found more things lying inside the boat.

Actually, there was a stir after getting this boat equipped with deadly weapons. According to the report, this boat is a speed boat of Oman Security.

However, there was no man in the boat. The boat has come to India while drifting. Generally, there is a possibility of getting a Pakistani boat in this area, due to which espionage is done.
