Under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has started the process of acquiring a Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA). It will soon be manufactured in the country.

The IAF on January 3 said the cargo-carrying capacity of the MTAs to be used for various roles of transport aircraft would be between 18 and 30 tonnes.

Manipur News: Bomb blast near fashion show venue in Imphal, Manipur, police engaged in investigation.

An explosion rocked the venue of a fashion show in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Saturday morning. The incident took place in the Hapta Kangjibung area of the Imphal East district.

Although there is no news of any casualty in this incident, but it has spread a lot of panic among the people around.

The explosive is suspected to be Chinese.

Imphal East SP Maharbam Pradeep Singh said that the blast took place around 6 am on Saturday. Also, he told that there is no news of any casualty in this.

“We suspect that the grenade that exploded on the scene became an explosive tool just like a Chinese grenade,” he said.

Meanwhile, the security personnel have cordoned off the area and have launched a search operation to nab the culprit.

Further investigation of the matter is underway. So far, no militant organization has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

A month before this, in January also there was a terrible bomb blast. The blast took place in Imphal’s Nagampal Kangjabi Laikangbam Leikai area.

Live footage of the incident had surfaced in which two suspects were seen arriving on a bike. It was these suspects who kept the building that was blasted at midnight.

No one was reported dead in this blast, but the windows and doors of the houses around the scene were broken. The sound of this explosion was heard far and wide in Imphal.
