Malabar Joint Naval Exercise In The Bay Of Bengal

Malabar joint naval exercise in the Bay of Bengal increased concern for trickster China. The complex maneuvers of the Indian, US, Japan, and Australian navies in the Bay of Bengal have raised concerns about trickster China.

On the first day of the first phase of the four-day Malabar naval exercise starting on Tuesday, the member countries of the Quad gave a glimpse of mutual military cooperation. The second phase will begin in the Arabian Sea between 17-20 November.

The first phase of joint exercise started in the Bay of Bengal

The US embassy tweeted, “This exercise has reaffirmed the commitment of member states to strengthen defense cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.”

The Indian Navy had said in a statement issued last day that the exercise would be conducted in contactless and only at sea in view of coronavirus infection.

India announced last month that Australia would also participate in the Malabar exercise this time. Indeed, foreign ministers of the Quad member countries met in Tokyo and discussed increasing mutual cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

Navies of India, the US, Japan, and Australia are taking part

The Indian Navy is participating in this joint exercise with its Destroyer Rannvijay, Frigate Shivalik, Offshore Patrol Vessel Sukanya, Fleet Support Ship Shakti, and Submarine Sindhuraj.

In addition, Advanced Jet Trainer Hawk, Long Range Maritime Petrol Aircraft P-8I, Dornier Maritime Petrol Aircraft, and several helicopters have been launched.

On the other hand, the US Navy has partnered with the Guided Missile Destroyer USS John S. McCain, the Australian Navy with the Long Range Frigate Ballarat with the helicopter, and the Japanese Navy with the Destroyer Onami with the helicopter.

The Malabar exercise began in the year 1992 with a joint exercise by the Indian and US Navy in the Indian Ocean. Japan joined in the year 2015.

China’s growing military dominance is a matter of concern for major countries of the world

The cause of concern of China includes India, the US, Japan, and Australia in the Quad ie Quadrilateral Security Dialogue.

The Malabar naval exercise has started at a time when India and China have been witnessing escalation over the last six months over the border in Ladakh.

The other three member countries have also been in dispute with China over various issues for the past few months.

China’s growing military dominance in the Indo-Pacific region is a matter of concern for major countries of the world.

The US is in favor of providing the Quad with a protective structure in the region so that China can be stopped.

China remembers peace

China, who unnecessarily messed with neighbors, remembered peace.

Reacting to the Malabar naval exercise in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said, “We hope the military practice of the four countries will be to create peace and stability in the region, not in opposition to anyone.”
