Mehbooba Mufti, who draped the body of separatist leader Saeed Ali Shah Geelani in Pakistani flag and supported anti-national sloganeering there, has now claimed to be under house arrest.

In a tweet, Mehbooba claimed that she was under house arrest and wrote that the Indian government is concerned about the rights of Afghans, but on the other hand, is violating the rights of Kashmiris.

I was placed under house arrest today because according to the administration the situation in Kashmir is far from normal. This exposes the claims of normalcy in Kashmir.

After the death of Saeed Ali Shah Geelani, his family members wrapped his body in the Pakistani flag and raised slogans in support of Pakistan there.

After this incident, the police had registered a case against Geelani’s family members, after which Mehbooba also jumped into the ground. Mehbooba criticized the filing of tax FIRs even at that time.

Mehbooba wrote that after turning Kashmir into an open prison, now even the dead have not been spared. It is also not allowed to mourn a family and bid a final farewell as per their wish.

The filing of cases under the UAPA against the family members of Geelani shows the brutality of the government. This is the new Kashmir of New India.

Mehbooba Mufti Detained: After this, Mehbooba, while talking to reporters in Srinagar, criticized the registration of cases against the family members of Geelani.

However, the Kashmir Police had also claimed that after Geelani’s death, IG Kashmir had gone to his house to mourn.

There he appealed to his family members that in view of the situation, the rituals of handing over Geelani should be completed soon so that the law and order do not get disturbed here.

At that time Geelani’s family had agreed to this, but later under pressure from Pakistan, they carried out this action.
