Mehbooba Mufti slammed the Delhi government. Mehbooba warns, ‘Whatever Delhi took away in August 2019, it will have to be returned with interest’: Jammu Kashmir.

President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti slammed the Delhi government, warning that whatever was snatched from Kashmiris on August 05, 2019, will have to be returned with interest.

Addressing the party workers on the occasion of the 22nd foundation day of PDP, Mehbooba said that the decision was taken in August 2019, the people of Jammu and Kashmir were made scapegoats to get votes.

It is unfortunate that India’s only Muslim majority state was divided into two parts.

Whatever the people of Kashmir have tolerated during this period, it is not because of India or its constitution but because of an individual party.

Mehbooba said that the identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir was taken away from them.

Whatever was snatched from the people on August 5, 2019, the Delhi government will have to return it with interest.

Mehbooba said that when India can get independence from the British after 70 years.

BJP can snatch the identity of Jammu and Kashmir after 70 years, then why can’t we fight for our rights for a long time.

The PDP president said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want to be with India. So she will continue to raise her voice like this till she gets her due back.

During this, she appealed to the youth to stay away from terrorism and said that some people want the youth to take up arms, but the youth have to stay away from this path.

Just as Mahatma Gandhi fought his battle against the British peacefully by following the path of non-violence, we will also follow the same path and get our due.

The people of Jammu and Kashmir prefer to live with India because of the democratic nature of India, but whatever India has given to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, it has been taken away.

Today the armies are fighting not with enemy countries like Pakistan and China but with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, this is not right.

Mehbooba said that my father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had founded the PDP party only to bring the people of Kashmir out of the system of repression.

He never sought votes on development issues. Though he developed by building many colleges, universities, and roads during his tenure.

He always sought votes for the betterment of Kashmiris, to help them come out of the situation they are facing.
