MHA Alert: Home Ministry’s instructions to police of all states to be ready, policemen are also likely to be targeted in the violence.

The Union Home Ministry has asked the police chiefs of states and union territories to be prepared and careful, as they can also be targeted during the violence.

The ministry has taken this step in view of the huge uproar in several cities across the country on Friday over the controversial remarks on the Prophet.

Paramilitary forces may be deployed.

A senior ministry official said police in all states and union territories have been asked to remain vigilant as they can be targeted during the violence.

“We have asked the police personnel deployed to maintain law and order to be in proper riot gear,” the official said. A deliberate attempt can be made to disturb peace and order in the country.

He said that along with the police, the paramilitary force also needs to be on alert to counter any unwanted situation if required.

MHA Alert: Instructions to keep an eye on chaotic elements.

The officer said that instructions have been issued to the police to keep a watch on the elements making provocative speeches.

The state police have been asked to identify those who posted live videos of violence and provocative speeches. Police will take necessary action against such people.

Mob attacked police.

It is noteworthy that after the prayers on Friday, Muslim organizations across the country took to the streets to protest.

The protest was against the remarks on Prophet Mohammad and the arrest of suspended Nupur Sharma and expelled Naveen Jindal from the BJP. Their fierce performance created an atmosphere of chaos.

The most violent demonstration took place in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Several policemen were injured.

A youth was killed, while more than two dozen people were injured in violent mob stone-pelting and firing between police and miscreants. Eight people have received bullets in them.
