Milkha Singh Passed Away: An unfulfilled dream of Milkha Singh, always used to say – I missed it, I wish some Indian would show that feat.

Although Milkha Singh had achieved everything in his life, one of his dreams remained unfulfilled and he said goodbye to life with this unfulfilled dream.

Milkha Singh often said that before leaving for the Rome Olympics, he had participated in at least 80 races around the world, winning 77 races, which became a record.

Milkha Singh used to say, “The whole world was expecting that Milkha would win the 400 meters race in Rome Olympics.

I could not win the medal because of my mistake. I have been waiting for so many years that some other Indian can do what I missed while doing it, but no athlete has won a medal in the Olympics.

Athletes need a role model.

Milkha Singh used to say that if he had won a medal in the Rome Olympics, then today athletes would emerge from every household in the country like Jamaica.

He did not miss winning a medal in Rome but had missed out on giving role models and dreams to this country. Athletes like PT Usha and Shriram Singh also missed out on winning medals from which the country had high hopes.

If we had won medals, then the youth would have the same attraction towards athletics games as hockey had during Dhyan Chand’s time and cricket after winning the Cricket World Cup in 1983.

Milkha Singh used to say, I have been waiting for so many years, but my wait is not over.
