After the conflict in East Ladakh, tensions between India-China and LAC still remain. Military commander-level talks have taken place several times, but tensions between the two countries have not been fully halted.

In the winter season, the Indian Army, facing the Chinese Army on the LAC, does not have any problem, so the central government is busy providing the necessary supplies.

Amid the border dispute, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has demanded the Central Government move to Leh to know the conditions of the soldiers.

The PAC has said that it wants to see the position of the soldiers posted at forwarding positions at high altitudes. However, this demand for PAC has been rejected by the Ministry of Defense.

Responding to the PAC, it has been said from the Ministry of Defense that the soldiers are embroiled in the long LAC, so they should not go to the LAC.

Ministry of Defense sent a letter to PAC

In a letter written to the PAC, the Ministry of Defense has said that it is not right for MPs to visit Leh at the present time.

It has been cited by the Ministry of Defense that the Indian Army has been in a confrontation with the Chinese Army on the LAC for a long time. A day before this, the ministry had sent a letter to the PAC, although it did not mention the conflict with China.

It is worth mentioning that PAC is headed by Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, leader of Congress in Lok Sabha. The PAC was allowed to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in the Ladakh last month to meet the Indian Army.

According to the information, the PAC wanted to go to Leh to investigate the CAG report, which said that troops deployed in areas like Siachen and Ladakh have a severe shortage of high-altitude (and cold) clothes and equipment.

The CAG had said that the reason for this was the delay in acquiring these devices.
