Minority Crisis Helpline Set Up In Kashmir: IGP Kashmir

Minority crisis helpline set up in Kashmir, police assures full security: Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have set up a helpline number after the recent incidents of killings of minorities in Kashmir.

Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar tweeted that a ‘Minority Crisis Helpline’ has been set up in PCR Kashmir.

In case of emergency, people belonging to the minority community can contact the helpline number 0194-2440283 for assistance.

After these killings, the police are making the minorities in the plaintiff feel full security.

Apart from this, security arrangements have also been tightened in the areas of the Valley where minority communities live.

Tightening the security arrangements, District Commissioner Kupwara Imam Din said that no element will be given an opportunity to create communal tension or create an atmosphere of unrest.

He also directed SSP Kupwara Jugal Manhas to make arrangements to provide better security to the minorities.

Condemning the recent targeted killings in the Kashmir Valley, he said that anti-national elements do not want peace in the valley, people of all communities should live together.

He has come up with this new trick to spread the atmosphere of unrest.

The DC also interacted with the migrant community living in Migrant Colony and other places and assured them that every step would be taken to ensure their safety.

Sirsa met Lieutenant Governor, raised the issue of security of minority community:

A delegation led by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Manjinder Singh Sirsa met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar, and raised the issue of security of minority community in Kashmir.

Expressing grief and concern over the selective killings in Kashmir, Sirsa said that steps should be taken to ensure the security of the minority community.

Minorities should not be attacked in the future. The culprits of the murders should be found out and action should be taken.

The Lieutenant Governor assured the delegates that effective steps have been taken to protect the minority community in Kashmir. The government is committed to protecting the minority community.
