Narcoterrorism in Jammu Kashmir: Rs 91 lakh recovered from Narcoterrorism recovered from farms in Samba.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has got another major breakthrough in the Handwara Narc Terrorism module case on Friday.

The investigating agency has recovered Rs 91 lakh more in this case. The drug money was hidden in the fields by the accused in Gurwal, Ramgarh along the international border in Samba district of the Jammu division.

A large part of this amount was to be spent for terrorist and separatist organizations operating in Jammu and Kashmir. 11 members of the Handwara Narcoté Terrorism module have been arrested so far.

Five members were caught this month. The NIA spokesperson said that the Handwara Narcoterrorism module was first exposed by the Handwara police on June 11, 2020, during a search of Abdul Momin Pir’s car.

Two kg of heroin was recovered from the car along with 20 lakh cash.

Momin Pir was arrested at the same time. Iftikhar Andrabi and Iqbal-ul-Islam were caught by the police based on clues from Momin.

21 kg of heroin, cash worth Rs 1.34 crore, note counting machine, and other items were recovered from the trio. On the basis of their interrogation, three of their accomplices were caught.

The NIA took up the case on June 20, 2020. On December 5, 2020, the NIA filed the first charge sheet against the six accused in the case.

On the first date of the same month, the NIA arrested five and people. Among them, Romesh Kumar is a resident of the Jammu division.

At the same time, four other accused Altaf Ahmed Shah, Shaukat Ahmed Parre, Mudassar Ahmed Dar and Amin Ale alias Hilal Mir are residents of Kashmir. Altaf is a resident of the Kheer Bhawani area in district Gandarbal.

Shaukat Badipore and Amin Ale are residents of Sangam Bijbihara in South Kashmir. Mudassar Dar is from Shopian.

These five accused were taken by the NIA on a 15-day remodel. He was deeply interrogated. A portion of the drug money was for the accused Romesh.

The NIA recovered cash worth Rs 91 lakh hidden in the fields of Gurwal village under Ramgarh police station in Samba district on the information obtained during interrogation and at the behest of accused Romesh Kumar.

A spokesman for the investigating agency said that a portion of the recovered drug money was for the accused Romesh Kumar.

Part of this was to be delivered to militants and separatist organizations in Jammu and Kashmir. At present, the investigation of the case is going on. There will be more arrests in this case in the coming days.
