National Conference not against delimitation process in J&K: Abdullah.

JKNC President and MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah said in an eight-hour-long virtual meeting of the members of the Jammu Provincial Committee that the party would protect the interests of the public at every cost at every platform.

The National Conference is not against the delimitation process in Jammu and Kashmir. But he said the method adopted was not in accordance with the procedure.

Apart from senior leaders of the party, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also participated in this discussion. A wide range of issues were discussed in the meeting.

The NC President spoke at length on various issues raised by the party functionaries and shared concerns over the smooth functioning of road connectivity, especially the Mughal Road.

He said that this link is very important between the two regions. There is a lot of pressure on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. For this, more and more options need to be explored.

He said that the railway connectivity between Jammu-Poonch and Jammu-Kishtwar is the most important.

This issue has already been taken up by the National Conference in the Parliament.Dr. Abdullah said that he would also take up the issue with the Prime Minister.

Dr. Abdullah said that railway connectivity is the most reliable and reliable mode of surface transport.

Especially considering the geographical location and weather of Jammu and Kashmir, it is necessary to promote railway service.

The NC president expressed concern over the unfortunate situation arising out of the pandemic.

The pandemic wreaked havoc on mankind and sought the active support of the people in making the ongoing vaccination campaign a success.

This is the only way to defeat the virus and the party cadre should motivate the people for mass vaccination.

Addressing the day-long virtual meeting, former NC Vice President Omar Abdullah asked the party functionaries to review the party’s membership distribution process in Jammu province.

Expressing concern over the uncertainty prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir, he asked the cadre to Urged to stand firm in your resolve to fight for the cause.

He said that this has been the proud legacy of the National Conference.

Omar Abdullah called for further strengthening of the party at the grassroots level by launching door-to-door campaigns and preparing the people to face the challenges in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the cadre mobilization during the election of District Development Councils exposed the fact that National Conference is a force.

Omar Abdullah joined the cadre to pay tribute to the colleagues who died due to Covid in the last one year.

Referring to more deaths in the Jammu region, he expressed concern over the handling of the virus and asked where the BJP leaders were.

Provincial President Devendra Singh Rana, who conducted the virtual day-long conference proceedings.

He paid tributes to Thakur Rashpal Singh, Kashmera Singh, Abdul Wahid Shan, Gurdeep Singh Sasan, Rohit Kerni and Mohammad Alam.

He said that he has contributed a lot in strengthening the party and serving the people in various capacities.

National Conference general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, senior leaders Ajay Kumar Sadotra, Surjit Singh Salathia, Ratan Lal Gupta, Khalid Najeeb Suhrawardy, Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah Bukhari, Javed Rana, Ejaz Jan were present in the meeting.

Former ministers, MLAs, various provincial wings of National Conference and district presidents participated in the deliberations in the meeting.
