Navy cancels Rs 2,500 crore contract to Reliance Naval, steps taken due to delay in supply. The Indian Navy has canceled the contract to build a patrol vessel worth Rs 2,500 crore given to Reliance Naval and Engineering Limited.

The Navy has taken this step due to the delay in the ship’s supply. Sources aware of the case said that the contract was canceled two weeks ago. Reliance Naval has not responded to the issue.

The Navy signed an agreement in 2011 with the Reliance Group to supply five patrol vessels. The signing took place long before the Reliance Group bought the shipyard from Nikhil Gandhi.

Reliance acquired Pipavav Defense and Offshore Engineering Limited in 2015 and renamed it Reliance Naval and Engineering Limited.

Explain that the cancellation of the contract of the patrol vessel may have an impact on the auction process of Reliance Naval, which is currently undergoing the debt resolution process in the National Company Law Tribunal.

After the company failed to repay the debt, IDBI appealed against it in the tribunal. Reliance Naval has a total debt of Rs 11,000 crore.

Indian Air Force jawans skydive landing at an altitude of about 18 thousand feet

Two jawans of the Indian Air Force (IAF) sky-dived in a C-130J aircraft from an altitude location in Leh under challenging conditions.

The Air Force said in a statement that Wing Commander Gajanand Yadav and Warrant Officer AK Tiwari did it on October 88 at Khardungla Pass in Leh on the 88th Foundation Day of the Air Force.

The Air Force said that this is the new record for sky-high dive. Khardungla Pass is at an altitude of 17,982 feet.

In the statement, the Air Force said that landing at such altitude is very challenging due to low air density, low oxygen, and inaccessible mountainous region. Both air warriors have shown excellent professionalism, patience, and determination in overcoming adversity and achieved a grand success.

The Indian Air Force stated that the IAF has always been promoting adventure activities for its jawans with the aim of incorporating qualities like team spirit and physical and mental courage.
