NCB files charge sheet against Riya Chakraborty and Souvik, to be decided on July 12: Sushant Singh Rajput Case.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed charges against Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Souvik Chakraborty and others in a special court in Mumbai.

A charge sheet has been filed in connection with the drug case that emerged after the death of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The next hearing, in this case, will now be held on 12 July 2022. However, the court has not yet framed charges against Riya Chakraborty.

Let us tell you that Riya Chakraborty and her brother Shouvik Chakraborty were present there during the court hearing.

NCB files a charge sheet against Riya Chakraborty: NCB has accused these people including Riya, and Souvik of buying drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput.

So on the other hand, Special Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande said that on his behalf, against all the accused, the charges which were mentioned in the charge sheet filed before the court were upheld.

The court has urged the court to frame charges of drug abuse against Riya and Sauvik Chakraborty and purchase and payment of such substances for the late Sushant Singh Rajput.

Atul Sarpande further pointed out that the court was supposed to frame charges against all the accused.

But it could not be done as some of the accused have applied for discharge, he said, adding that the court has asked that the discharge petitions be decided.

Only after that, the charges will be framed. Now Special Judge VG Raghuvanshi will hear the matter next on July 12.

Remind you that after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, when the investigation started in the drug angle, the name of Riya Chakraborty came to the fore.

Riya was also arrested in this case, after which she had to stay in jail for a month. However, he later got bail from the Bombay High Court.

Right now the CBI is also investigating this matter on the orders of the Supreme Court, but till now the agency has not reached any conclusion.
