In such a situation, Lieutenant General Ananda Sengupta has taken over the important responsibility of GOC of the Fourteen Corps of the Northern Command of the Army from Lieutenant General PGK Menon.

The new Corps Commander will soon visit the remote areas of Ladakh and encourage the army personnel posted there.

The new GOC has said in his message to the soldiers of the Corps that they should be ready to face any kind of challenge to the national security while serving the country in difficult conditions, extreme cold.

The Corps Commander has said that the Indian Army is capable of facing the most challenges in the world.

In such a situation, the soldiers of the army should always give priority to the country while doing any work.

Lieutenant General Ananda Sengupta, who was the Director-General of Strategic Planning at the Army Headquarters in Delhi, has been posted in many important positions in the Army.

The new GOC, who has vast experience in counter-terrorism, has commanded an infantry brigade in Kashmir as well as the GOC of the Victor Force of the Army combating militancy in the region.

Along with this, he has also commanded an infantry brigade in the United Nations Mission outside the country.

Jawan dies due to bullet in mysterious circumstances in Poonch, police are investigating

A jawan posted in the Balnoi area of ​​the KG sector, adjoining the Line of Control in district Poonch, died due to bullet injuries under mysterious circumstances on Thursday.

The jawan has been identified as Anil Chauhan resident of Uttarakhand. He was posted in the 8 Garhwal Regiment of the Army.

Police say that the jawan died due to bullet injuries but it is not clear whether he committed suicide or any other reason.

According to police, information about the death of the jawan was received today at an army camp in Balnoi area.
