NIA arrested Gopal Oraon, the main accused of human trafficking, arrested with a peg.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating human trafficking cases in Jharkhand, has arrested Gopal Oraon, an associate of notorious human smuggler Panna Lal and the main accused of human trafficking, from Khunti.

The arrested Gopal is a resident of Tungaon in Murhu police station area of ​​Oraon Khunti district. He is also accused of bargaining Jharkhandi girls in the name of a placement agency.

It is the main ally of the infamous human smuggler Panna Lal Mahato. Panna Lal Mahato has already been arrested.

On July 19, 2019, a case of human trafficking was registered in the anti-human trafficking unit (AHTU) police station of Khunti! It was re-registered on 4 March 2020 this year by NIA taking over and started research.

During the research, it was learned that the accused Panna Lal Mahato and his wife Sunita Devi are doing human trafficking business through three placement agencies in Delhi.

These accused poor, innocent minors smuggling children and girls in Delhi and adjoining states on the pretext of getting jobs, but do not give them money in return. Arrested accused Gopal Oraon helps Panna Lal in this business.

Objectionable items found in NIA raid

The National Investigation Agency conducting research against human trafficking raided the targets of human traffickers and their associates.

The raids were carried out in four different districts of the state. These districts include Pakur, Sahibganj, Gumla, and Khunti districts.

A large number of objectionable documents, railway tickets, mobile phones, etc. have been recovered from these districts in the NIA raid. NIA’s research is still ongoing in this entire episode.

Supreme Court challenge to stop illegal conversion ordinance of UP government

In Uttar Pradesh, the Supreme Court has challenged the illegal conversion ordinance brought to curb the love jihad and stop illegal conversion.

A petition has been sought to declare the ordinance unconstitutional and the Atharities not to implement it.
