NIA interrogates Narcotics Control Bureau personnel, the investigative agency involved in tracing narco-terrorism. The NIA interrogates the personnel of the Narcotics Control Bureau based on clues found in the narco-related module of Lashkar caught on June 11 by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigating the trap of narco-terrorism.

A team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was also allegedly interrogated on Monday by a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the trap of narco-terrorism spreading in Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA has also searched his house in the Ramgarh sector bordering the international border in Samba district. However, the NIA or the Bureau of Narcotics Control has not confirmed the case.

Sources said that the NIA has carried out this action on the basis of clues found from the Narco Terror Module related to Lashkar caught in North Kashmir’s Handwara on June 11.

In separate raids, Jammu Kashmir police arrested Iftikhar Geelani alias Iftikhar Andrabi and his son-in-law Abdul Momin Pir in connection with the recovery of 21 kg of heroin and 20 lakh cash. Momin Pir’s brother Islamul Haq Pir was also caught.

The roots of this module were connected from Kashmir to Amritsar, Delhi, and Mumbai. Given the sensitivity of the case, the Union Home Ministry had handed over the matter to the NIA on the request of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Sources said that in the same case on Monday, an NIA team allegedly interrogated a worker posted in the NCB office in Jammu. The said employee was earlier employed in another security agency and has since moved to NCB on a deputation basis.

He has been questioned for about an hour. After this, the NIA team also searched the house of the said worker in the Ramgarh sector. The NIA has also taken possession of the said employee’s mobile phone, but he has not been arrested. When the concerned authorities were contacted in this context, no one confirmed the matter.
