NIA raids the residence of Pradeep Sharma, former ‘encounter specialist’ of Mumbai Police: Antilia Case.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids in connection with the ‘Antilia’ bomb case and the murder of Mansukh Hiren.

The raids were conducted at the residence of former Mumbai Police ‘encounter specialist’ Pradeep Sharma in suburban Andheri in the early hours of Thursday. Raids were conducted in connection with the investigation.

An NIA team along with CRPF personnel raided Sharma’s house at JB Nagar in Andheri West around 6 am, the official said, adding that he is being questioned about the case.

After receiving information about the raid, the Mumbai Police has also deployed its soldiers on the spot.

Let us tell you that earlier, Pradeep Sharma was questioned by the NIA for two days at its office in South Mumbai in connection with the investigation.

The central probe agency had earlier arrested former police officers Sachin Waje, Riyazuddin Qazi, Sunil Mane, former police constable Vinayak Shinde and cricket bookie Naresh Gaur for their involvement in the case.

Recently, Santosh Shelar and Anand Jadhav were also arrested in this connection.

The NIA said that both of them were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to plant an SUV containing explosives near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

What is the matter.

On February 25 this year, an SUV vehicle was found in an unclaimed condition near Mukesh Ambani’s South Mumbai residence ‘Antilia’.

This car was said to be of businessman Mansukh Hiren. Mansukh Hiren was found dead on March 5 in Mumbra. Both these cases were earlier being investigated by the Maharashtra Police, later it was handed over to the NIA.

It is worth noting that in the Antilia case also the name of former policeman and encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma had come up and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing him had interrogated him.

Actually, the Maharashtra ATS was investigating the Antilia case. It was revealed in the ATS report that Mansukh Hiren had made the last call from Andheri East itself and Pradeep Sharma’s residence is in Andheri East.

That is why Pradeep Sharma was under suspicion of ATS and NIA.

It is to be known that Pradeep Sharma, who made his mark as an encounter specialist, had joined Shiv Sena in the assembly elections in 2019. He also contested elections but could not win.

So far Pradeep Sharma has done more than 100 encounters, he has also been sentenced to jail in the fake encounter case.
