Novak Djokovic will participate in Tokyo Olympics, has a full chance to win a gold medal.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

The 34-year-old took to Twitter to inform that he has booked his flight to Tokyo and will proudly join Serbia’s team at the Olympics.

Novak Djokovic has returned to Serbia after winning the Wimbledon title in England. Novak Djokovic has a chance to win gold in tennis at the Olympic Games.

Novak Djokovic tweeted, “Can’t disappoint my little friend Kojirou. I booked my flight to Tokyo and joining Team Serbia for the Olympics.”

Actually, while making a video call with a one-year-old, he congratulated him on his birthday, because Kojirou has turned 6 years old.

Legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic won his sixth Wimbledon title on Sunday.

He now has 20 Grand Slams to his name and is now on par with Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer and Spanish player Rafael Nadal.

With this win, Djokovic has won three Grand Slams this year – the Australian Open, the French Open, and now Wimbledon.

The top seed will now look to end the year on a high by winning the final Grand Slam – the US Open.

Tennis Hall of Fame inductee Shirley Fry Irvine passed away. She was 94 years old.

Shirley completed a career in Grand Slam in the sixth decade of the last century by winning three consecutive major titles. The International Tennis Hall of Fame confirmed his death.

Shirley lived in Naples and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1970. Shirley won her first Grand Slam singles title at the 1951 French Open by defeating her friend and doubles partner Doris Hart.

Shirley returned from retirement in 1956 at the age of 28, when he was invited to represent the United States in the Weightman Cup.

He then went on to win three consecutive Major titles with Wimbledon and the US Championships that same year and the Australian Championships in 1957 and then retired.

Shirley also won 13 Grand Slam doubles titles. She was in the top-10 in the year-end rankings nine out of 10 times from 1946 to 1956.
