NSA Ajit Doval meets Mike Pompeo and Asper, brainstorming on many important issues.

On the sidelines of the India-US 2 + 2 ministerial dialogue between India and the US, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval (US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo) and US Defense Secretary Mark Asper (Mark Esper).

Sources say, ‘They discussed many issues and challenges of strategic importance.

Both sides highlighted the need to pursue common objectives and build capacities across all domains to ensure a safe, stable, and rules-based regional and global security environment. ‘

‘Two plus two’ ministerial talks are currently underway, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Mike Pompeo, and Mark Asper.

After the meeting, the two secretaries will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence. US officials will then leave for Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Indonesia.

On Monday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Minister Mark Espar arrived in New Delhi for a ‘two plus two’ inter-ministerial dialogue with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

His visit comes at a time when there is tension between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held talks with his American counterpart Mark Esper on Monday.

During this time the defense ministers of the two countries also discussed military cooperation, secure communication system, and information sharing, increasing bilateral defense cooperation with defense trade.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also held a meeting on Monday in which they agreed on the US-India Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

Dhruv Jaishankar told BECA agreement important in a ministerial meeting

All eyes are on the third 2 + 2 ministerial meetings between India and the United States. There will be talks on many topics in this meeting today as well as some agreements.

Meanwhile, Dhruv Jaishankar, director of the American initiative at the Observer Research Foundation, based in New Delhi, said the ministerial dialogue was very important.

Because many defense agreements will be signed at this meeting, including BECA in particular.

India will benefit from the BECA agreement

Explain that there is an agreement between India and the US on the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement on Geospatial Cooperation (BICA).

This agreement will facilitate the way for India to get technology related to American cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.

Along with this, India will also be able to take sensitive satellite data from America, so that every activity of enemy countries will be closely monitored.
