Omar and Mehbooba looked upset with the Center, Even after two years of abrogation of Article 370: 5th August Anniversary.

The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party is celebrating the completion of two years of the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir as Black Day.

Party chief Mehbooba Mufti said on the occasion that injustice has been done to the people here. At this moment she can do nothing but protest.

No word or photo is enough to show the pain of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She said in a tweet that now she can only protest.

The PDP has been opposing the central government’s decision to remove 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate it into two union territories.

Party leaders say that this is a step taken against the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, not only the people here have been suppressed politically but also psychologically.

A day earlier, senior National Conference leader and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had also expressed strong opposition to this decision taken by the Center two years ago.

He had said that no leader can grieve for long, and cannot see people fighting for their constitutional rights.

Omar and Mehbooba looked upset: Omar said that the promises made by the central government to the people here were not fulfilled.

No such decision has been taken today, which will see development here. No investment has taken place yet. Nor has any development project started here.

All the inaugurations done by the Prime Minister and other ministers were started by the previous governments.

Be it hydel projects or health sector projects, all started during the UPA government. Omar said that the abrogation of 370 was completely unconstitutional.

His party has challenged this in the Supreme Court. He has full faith in the court. Hope the people of Jammu and Kashmir will get justice.
