One Hundred Seven Crores Grant To Food Processing Projects

One hundred seven crores grant to food processing projects, 10,000 projects expected to provide employment to these people.

The Central Government has approved a grant of Rs One hundred seven crores for the implementation of 28 food processing projects.

These projects will be located in 10 states. The government said on Saturday that these projects are expected to provide employment to around 10,000 people.

According to an official statement, a meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Approval Committee was held under the chairmanship of Food Processing Industries Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

It was decided at that meeting. Minister of State Rameshwar Teli was also present in the meeting.

The committee approved a grant of Rs 107.42 crore for projects applied under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana to help these projects costing Rs 320.33 crore.

Of this, a grant of Rs 20.35 crore is for six projects costing Rs 48.87 crore in the northeastern states.

“IMAC has approved 28 projects worth Rs 320.33 crore under the CEFPPC scheme,” an official statement said.

These projects will be given a grant of Rs 107.42 crore by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. ”

According to the statement, these 28 projects are in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Assam, and Manipur.

Their total processing capacity will be 1,237 tonnes.

The official statement said that it is expected to provide employment to around 10,000 people.

The seventh installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan) is expected to come into the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers next month.
