One Naxalite killed in an encounter with security forces, arms recovered by CRPF: Chhattisgarh.
A Naxalite was killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on Friday. The incident happened yesterday at around 5.30 pm.
The slain Maoist has been identified as Madvi Bhima. The CRPF gave this information and said that a rifle, a five kg IED, and 20 electric detonators have been recovered from these deceased Naxalites.
The encounter happened in dense forests.
In Sukma district, an encounter took place between 201 Cobra Battalion of CRPF, District Reserve Guard of Chhattisgarh Police, and Naxalites in dense forests between Gadgadmeta and Tadmetla of Chintalnar area.
The CRPF said that after the firing stopped, the body of the deceased Naxalite was recovered from which weapons were also found.
Police were looking for Bhima for a long time.
According to the police, there is an allegation of involvement in several Naxalite attacks on the police team in the area against Commander Mandvi Bhima.
He was also involved in an attack on security forces near Minpa village in March of last year. 17 jawans were martyred in this incident.
Apart from this, Bhima Naxalite was also involved in the landmine blast incident in the Chintalnar area in November last year.
In this incident, the Assistant Commandant of the CoBRA Battalion was martyred and nine others were injured.
For a long time, the police were looking for Naxalite commander Bhima. Police officials have called the encounter that killed Bhima a success.

The 46th and 12th Battalions of BSF celebrated 57th Raising Day in Jhiri village, adjacent to the India-Pakistan International Border.
BSF and many other artists gave a colorful performance. Medical camps were also organized during this period.
In this, the health of the patients was checked and medicines were also provided to them free of cost.
Food items were presented by BSF to the needy people of the village while blankets etc. were also given to protect them from cold.
On this occasion DIG, Rakesh Negi Sunderbani Sector, and senior officers of BSF were also present. The people of the same village appreciated the BSF for organizing such programs.
He expressed hope that medical camps should be organized by BSF from time to time for the people.
