One terrorist has been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Charosa area of ​​Awantipora in south Kashmir’s district Pulwama.

Police sources say that the number of terrorists hiding in the area could be two to three. At the moment one has been shot or killed.

Police say that a search operation was launched here in the early hours of today following information about sightings of terrorists in the Charosa area.

As soon as the security personnel reached the area and launched a search operation in search of the terrorists, the terrorists hiding in the area started firing on them.

The security forces also immediately took their positions and started responding to the firing of the terrorists.

Though by stopping the firing in between, the security forces gave an opportunity to the hiding terrorists to surrender, they continued the process of firing, refusing to lay down their arms.

Meanwhile, in retaliation, a terrorist has been killed by the security forces.

You should be aware that the security forces in Kashmir have intensified their operation against terrorists and their allies. On Monday, the security forces caught four terrorists.

These include terrorists who helped Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organizations in the killing of Sarpanch Shabbir Ahmed Mir and Army jawan Sameer Malla.

On the other hand, two terrorists are being searched after one terrorist was killed in the ongoing encounter in Awantipora.

According to the local people, the place where these terrorists were hiding is a locality. After the death of the partner, the rest of the terrorists are hiding in that house somewhere else.
