When these terrorists hiding in a house saw the security forces coming near them, they suddenly started firing on them.

The security forces, while assuming their position, first asked the terrorists to surrender, but when they did not agree, they also started retaliatory firing.

According to the information received so far, one terrorist has been killed by the security forces in the encounter.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday, an unarmed policeman returning after offering Namaz was attacked in Shopian itself. The injured policeman is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.

A police spokesman said that Assistant Sub Inspector Ghulam Hassan Wage had gone to his house in Amshajipora, Shopian.

He had gone to offer prayers at a mosque located near his house at around 5.30 pm on Tuesday.

When he started returning back to his house after offering Namaz, suddenly the terrorists came there and started firing on him.

The terrorists fired at him from point-blank range. Ghulam Hasan was injured due to the bullet and fell to the ground. The terrorists thought him dead and fled.
