Pampore Encounter: Both Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists killed in Pampore encounter, search operation continues.

Both Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists have been killed since the morning between security forces and terrorists in the Khiryu Pampore area of ​​Awantipora in south Kashmir’s district Pulwama.

The security forces are currently conducting a search operation due to the apprehension of the presence of more terrorists in the area.

The identity of the slain terrorists has not been disclosed yet, but according to local sources, both of them are said to be locals.

Taking possession of the bodies of both the terrorists, the security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from the encounter site.

Police say that the terrorists were asked to surrender during the encounter but they refused to do so and continued firing on the security forces.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar while confirming the death of both the terrorists said that one of the slain terrorists has been identified as Khiryu, a resident of Musaib Mushtaq.

He was also involved in the murder of Javid Ahmed Malik, a peon of Girls High School Patsuna, resident of Lurgam.

It was an attack squad of HM that killed several civilians in South Kashmir. The identity of the other terrorist is being ascertained.

Police said that they received information about the presence of terrorists in the Khiryu area of ​​Pampore late on Thursday night.

The SOG jawans of the police, along with a joint team of Army and CRPF, reached the area and started searching for the terrorists.

On Friday morning, when they reached a locality of Khiryu while carrying forward their search operation, the terrorists hiding there, seeing them coming near, started firing on them.

The security forces, taking the front immediately, first asked the terrorists to surrender, but when they did not agree, they also opened fire in retaliation.

Additional troops of security forces were called to the encounter site so that the terrorists should not escape from there.

After the killing of one terrorist, the security forces are repeatedly asking the other terrorist to surrender but the process of firing is going on from both sides.

Around quarter to ten in the morning, the security forces also killed the second terrorist. The identities of both the slain terrorists have not been disclosed yet but they are said to be local.

The security forces are currently continuing the search operation in the area.
