Paris Attack Verdict: 20 people convicted in Paris terror attack, main accused Abdeslam gets a life sentence.

A French court on Wednesday found all 20 people guilty of the Paris terror attacks.

Judge Jean-Louis Perez found the main accused, Salah Abdeslam, guilty of terrorism, murder, and other charges. Abdeslam has been given a life sentence.

He is believed to be the only surviving member of the group that carried out the attack on November 13, 2015. Belgian-born French citizen Abdeslam claimed responsibility for the attack.

Along with this, 19 others were convicted for providing weapons, and cars to the attackers, and being involved in the conspiracy to attack.

Of these, 13 were present in the court. At the same time, six other absconding people were also sentenced in this case.

On November 13, 2015, there were shootings, suicide bombings carried out by Islamist militants in Paris. Many people were taken, hostage. 130 people died in these attacks.

The attacks were targeted at the Stade de France stadium, the Bataclan Music Hall, and six bars and restaurants.

Paris Attack Verdict: A court on Wednesday sentenced Salah Abdeslam to life in prison without any possibility of parole.

The only surviving member of the group that killed 130 people in a November 13, 2015 gun and bomb attack in Paris.

The punishment is harshest in France, where the death penalty was abolished in 1981. That means 32-year-old Abdeslam will spend the rest of his life in prison.

During a hearing in September, the Belgian-born Frenchman told a Paris court – ‘I quit my job to become an Islamic State soldier.’

In the midst of the Ukraine war, the US has made it clear that in view of Russia’s attitude, it will increase its military deployment in Europe.

The troops to be deployed will be equipped with state-of-the-art weapons. It will also set up a permanent command office in Poland.

US President Joe Biden made this announcement after a meeting with Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg.

The meeting took place ahead of the annual meeting of the leaders of 30 NATO member states to be held in the Spanish capital.
