A few kilometers from the site where the Indian security forces met face to face with the Chinese army in the Galvan Valley, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has launched a massive plantation operation.

The park is named ‘Galwan Ke Balwan’, more than 1,000 saplings have been planted. It also includes part of northern Ladakh. Soon the area with a temperature of -30 ° C will have a garden in honor of the martyrs.

This area is barren, will soon be inhabited

According to the ITBP, the area was completely barren and had no plants, but these plants can be protected in difficult climates where temperatures go below -30 ° C, which have been brought here.

Plantation drive has been undertaken by Union Home Minister Amit Shah for Central Police Forces like ITBP, Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, etc.

One thousand plants will be planted in the garden

An ITBP official said that we have started a plantation drive and till now we have planted 1,000 saplings in that area. We have planted local plants, which can survive easily under such strong weather conditions.

Soon ITBP will create a garden dedicated to the martyrs, which will have a dedicated space for all the martyrs. However, no ITBP jawan died during a face-to-face meeting with China earlier this year.

This campaign will also continue next year and soon there will be more greenery in this area.

Chinese and Indian troops have been face-to-face since the beginning of May on the LAC in eastern Ladakh. The situation on the LAC deteriorated in June, leading to a collision in the Galwan Valley, with casualties on both sides.

Twenty Indian soldiers lost their lives in a violent raid on 15–16 June. This was as a result of Chinese troops unilaterally attempting to change the status quo in the Galwan valley in eastern Ladakh.
