PIL Filed In HC To Deport illegal Bangladeshi And Rohingyas: Jammu Kashmir. Petitioner has asked the government to send people back to Myanmar and Bangladesh.

A division bench of Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Ali Mohammad Magre issued notice to the Jammu and Kashmir government.

The notice was issued during the hearing of a PIL filed in the High Court to deport the people of Myanmar and Bangladesh living in Jammu and Kashmir illegally. The government has been asked to give his reply within a month.

The PIL filed in the High Court also demanded that an inquiry should be conducted into how refugees from Myanmar and Bangladesh have been settled in Jammu and Kashmir.

This investigation should be conducted by a committee headed by the former judge.

The petition said that there is no place for the people of Myanmar and Bangladesh residing in Jammu and Kashmir, neither there is a refugee camp here, neither by the government nor by the United Nations.

According to official figures, there are 13,400 citizens of Myanmar and Bangladesh living in Jammu and Kashmir. But NGOs have reported many times the number of foreign countries.

The land mafia is using these foreign people living illegally in the Jammu division to capture government land. In addition to several Kanal government lands in Jammu, water bodies have also been captured by them.

Recently many such cases have also come to light in which people of Bangladesh and Myanmar had made their Jammu ration cards, voter cards, and Aadhaar cards. Their names have also figured in drug trafficking and hawala transactions.

The government of Jammu and Kashmir is giving many types of facilities to these foreign nationals living illegally, which is also having an impact on the government revenue. The government should immediately return these foreign nationals living illegally.

Petition to ban cow slaughter in Jammu and Kashmir rejected, asked to put its demand before Chief Secretary.

The PIL, seeking a ban on cow slaughter and enacting strict laws, was rejected by the High Court. A division bench of Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Rajneesh Oswal asked the petitioner to place his demand before the Chief Secretary of the state.

In the PIL filed in the High Court, the NGO demanded a stringent law against cow slaughter in Jammu and Kashmir so that cow slaughter can be stopped in the state.

Lawyers appearing on behalf of the petitioner argued in the High Court that cow slaughter was a punishable offense under Ranbir Penal Code RPC.
