PM Narendra Modi on Sunday handed over projects worth crores of rupees to Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It also showed an emotional attachment with the people of both states by referring to language and culture.

He first inaugurated the expansion of the first phase of Chennai Metro Rail in Tamil Nadu and laid the foundation stone of various projects worth crores of rupees from different regions.

After this, the Prime Minister who arrived in Kerala also dedicated BPCL’s petrochemical complex in Kochi to the nation and started many other projects. Assembly elections are due in both states between April and May this year.

Start of many projects in Chennai

In a grand ceremony at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, Modi inaugurated the 9.01-kilometer-long section of the metro connecting Washermanpet to Wimco Nagar in North Chennai.

The project has cost Rs 3,770 crore. Modi dedicated the electrification of Chennai Beach Attipattu’s fourth line and Villupur’s Mayiladuthurai Thanjavur / Mayiladuthurai Thiruvur single rail line to the nation.

This decade of India

On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that this year’s budget reflects the government’s commitment to reforms.

The world is looking at India with great enthusiasm and positivity. This decade is going to happen due to the hard work of 130 crore people of India.

No Indian in Sri Lankan custody

The Prime Minister said that his government had been taking up the issue of the rights of Tamil people with Sri Lanka.

The government is committed to ensuring that the people of Tamil Nadu can live in Sri Lanka with equality, justice, peace, and honor.

He said that in his government Sri Lanka released 1600 fishermen. Currently, no Indian fisherman is in Sri Lankan custody.

PM handed over projects worth crores: Discovery campus to be built in IIT

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for a Discovery Campus at IIT Madras, which will be constructed in the first phase in the nearby Theur.

The campus will be constructed in an area of ​​two lakh square kilometers.

Ro-Ro waterway dedicated to the country

The Prime Minister, who arrived in Kerala after Tamil Nadu, dedicated the six thousand crore rupees petrochemical complex on Willingdon Island in Kochi to the nation and Ro-Ro waterway for the ship.

The Prime Minister said that these projects will further accelerate the pace of India’s development.

Inauguration of Cruise Terminal and Science Sea

The Prime Minister also inaugurated the International Cruise Terminal of Kochi Port Trust and Vigyan Sagar of Kochi Shipyard.

1.10 Lakh Crore Infrastructure Development

On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that his government is focusing on building infrastructure worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore for the strong development of India.

His government is giving top priority to the development of the Blue Economy. The Blue Economy is the sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, better livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the ocean ecosystem.

Proud of immigrant Indians living in the Gulf

PM Modi said that the country is proud of the immigrant Indians working in the Gulf countries, especially the people of Kerala. He said that his government is full of these people.

Regarding the Indians locked up in various Gulf countries, he said that the intervention of his government has led to the release of many people.

India’s development will get energy

On the inauguration of development projects in Kochi, PM Modi said that we have gathered here to celebrate the development of Kerala and India.

Today, development works are being inaugurated in many areas. This will provide energy to India’s development.

110 lakh crore investment on pipeline infrastructure

PM Modi said that Rs 110 lakh crore is being invested in the infrastructure of the national pipeline. Special attention is being paid to the coastal areas, northeast and mountainous regions.

Currently, India is launching an ambitious program of broadband connectivity in every village. The Prime Minister said that Indians working in the Gulf should know that the government’s full support is for them.
