PM Modi on Thursday expressed his anguish over the riots and violence by angry supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump in Washington DC.

He said that the democratic process cannot be allowed to be affected by illegal protests. He said in his tweet that the transfer of power should continue in a peaceful manner.

Significantly, in Washington, thousands of outgoing President Donald Trump supporters tried to capture Capitol Hill. Along with this, there was a ruckus in the Senate.

In his tweet on this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote – ‘He is saddened by the news of violence and violence in Washington DC.

It is necessary to transfer power correctly and in a peaceful manner. The democratic process cannot be harmed through such demonstrations. ‘

Significantly, one woman has died in this violence in Washington, while several protesters have also been injured in a clash with police.
