Bajrang Punia gets a UK visa and will train in America before Commonwealth Games.

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) said on Saturday that star wrestler Bajrang Punia has got a UK visa for the upcoming Commonwealth Games (2022).

This will allow him to go on a training tour in the US before going to Birmingham.

Bajrang will leave for the Commonwealth Games directly from his training base in the US, which would have made it difficult for him to complete UK visa formalities later.

Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Bajrang has now got a UK visa, so he will be able to train in the US without any worries.

28-year-old Bajrang was to go to the University of Michigan in the US for training, but due to a delay in getting a UK visa, he had to stay in India.
