The age of the Brigadier and its equivalent officers will be increased from 56 years to 58 years.

It has been proposed to increase the age of Brigadier and its equivalent officers from 56 years to 58 years, Major General and its equivalent officers from 58 to 59 years.

No change in the retirement age of lieutenant general rank and its equivalent officers

There has been no change in the retirement age of Lieutenant General rank and its equivalent officers, it will remain 60 years as before.

JCOs and Jawans in the Logistics, Technical, and Medical Corps will have a retirement age of 57 years

In the Logistics, Technical, and Medical Corps, it has been proposed to increase the junior commissioned officer (JCO) and jawans to 57 years.

It will also include the Army’s Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME), Army Service Corps (ASC), and (Army Ordnance Corps) AOC units.

Proposal to cut pension on taking premature retirement

In order to retain officers in the army, it has been proposed to cut pension on premature retirement.

The proposal states that a 50% pension will be given for 20 to 25 years of service, 60% for 26 to 30 years of service, 75% for 31 to 35 years of service, and full pension for more than 35 years of service.

There will be no shortage of good officers in the army, plans to implement the proposal soon

The proposal also states that many officers leave the army due to low vacancy in top positions.

At the same time, many specialists and super-specialists, who are trained for highly skilled jobs, leave the job to work in other sectors.

This leads to a shortage of good officers in the army, which is not good for the Nation. There is also a plan to implement these proposals as soon as possible after extensive deliberation and discussion.
