Rafale fighter jets’ second shipment arrived in India amid tension from China, Defense Minister congratulated the Air Force.
India has got its second consignment of Rafale fighter jets’ amidst a tense atmosphere with China. Three Rafale Ladaku aircraft arrived directly from France to India late Wednesday evening.
These aircraft also did not land in the middle of the previous shipment. The first batch came on 29 July. These aircraft were inducted into the Air Force on 10 September.
In the second batch, all three Rafale fighter jets’ from France reached Jamnagar airbase in Gujarat.
Here, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Rafale’s arrival in India that the members of the Indian Air Force deserve to be congratulated for this.
IAF has successfully completed a highly complex mission in a professional and safe manner.
India has signed a deal of about 59000 crores for the purchase of 36 Rafale fighters from France. Air Force Chief RKS Bhadoria said last month that all Rafale coming to India as part of the deal would join the Air Force by 2023.
Indian Air Chief RKS Bhadoria described the timing of these aircraft joining the army as appropriate. He said that given the current security scenario, this could not have been an appropriate time to induct Rafael into the Air Force.
He said that the inclusion of Rafale in the force in Ambala is important because this airbase will be easily accessible to all areas of importance.
The Rafale aircraft was formally unveiled by a program, with Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his French counterpart Florence Parley also present at the event.
Rafael aircraft were given a traditional salute with water cannons before being inducted into the force’s 17th squadron.
Please tell that in advance non-stop arrangements were made for Rafael to come to India. In case of fuel requirement, a plan was made to allow them to fill fuel in the air.
Earlier, the first fleet of five Rafale aircraft from the French company Dassault Aviation had halted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after flying from France.
In 2016, the NDA government at the Center had signed a deal for these aircraft worth about Rs 60,000 crore. However, after this, there was a lot of politics about its price.
You can guess the strength of Rafael from the fact that when it came, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat called it a game-changer.
