Rahul Dravid to be coach of Team India on Sri Lanka tour, batting consultant in 2014.

Former India captain and current National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief Rahul Dravid will be the coach of Team India for three ODIs and three T20 matches against Sri Lanka in July.

Earlier, during his tour of England in 2014, he worked as a batting consultant. Speaking to news agency, a BCCI official with knowledge of the incident confirmed this.

He said that Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun and Vikram Rathore would be in England along with the Test team. In such a situation, Dravid will take over the responsibility of the coach for the tour of Sri Lanka.

The official said, ‘The coaching staff of Team India will be in England and it will be good that the young team is guided to Dravid.

He has already worked with almost all India ‘A’ players. The youth feel good with them. This will add additional benefits. ‘

Virat, Rohit, Pujara, Bumrah, Shami not this player played an important role in bringing India to the WTC Finals.

Team India will play against New Zealand in the final match of the ICC World Test Championship from June 18.

All the players of Team India have been instrumental in bringing the Indian team to the final, but former India selector and cricketer Saba Karim feels that this player played the biggest role in reaching India.

The Indian team has proved to be heavy on every team in Test cricket for the last 4-5 years and for the last five consecutive seasons, this team has been number one in the ICC rankings.

The performance that Team India has performed as a unit is worthwhile.

Regarding Team India which has reached such an important stage, Saba Karim said that, Rishabh Pant has been the biggest contributor in taking India to the finals.

Talking to Media, he said that India has to play the final match of the Test Championship first and then take part in the five-match Test series against England.

Rishabh Pant will play a big role in this and we should not forget that Pant has played the biggest role in leading India to the final of the ICC World Test Championship.

I would say that Rishabh Pant has been the biggest role in the entire Indian Test team and because of this, Team India reached this stage. He performed brilliantly not only as a batsman but also as a wicketkeeper.
