The Central Government told the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that infiltration across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir has come down significantly since 2018.
According to an estimate, information has been received about 366 infiltration incidents between 2018 and 2021.
Reduction in cross-border infiltration: Incidents of infiltration have happened since 2018.
This information has been given by the Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai in the form of a written reply to MP Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt.
He said that infiltration across the Line of Control (LOC) has come down significantly in Jammu and Kashmir since 2018.
A total of 366 incidents of estimated infiltration have been received during the last four years.
At the same time, he told in the House that, according to the information received, a large number of suspected terrorists are present at various launch pads in Pakistan or Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
The multi-pronged approach was adopted to check infiltration.
Giving information about the efforts being made by the government to check infiltration, Rai said that a multi-pronged approach has been adopted in this regard.
To curb infiltration, action against infiltrators including international border, multi-level deployment along the Line of Control, border fencing, better intelligence, and operational coordination, equipping security forces with high-tech weapons.

The process of selection for 11,324 gazetted, non-gazetted and class IV posts have been completed.
This information has been given by Nityanand Rai in the form of a written reply to a question asked by BJP leader Gopal Chinnaya Shetty.
Responding to Shetty’s question, Rai said the government has taken several steps since August 2019 to fill up all the vacant posts in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
