Relief From Rising Prices Of Petrol And Diesel Soon

Relief from rising prices of petrol and diesel will come soon, vehicles will be filled with ethanol.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that soon all vehicles will be able to run on ethanol.

He said that in the coming time there will be more ethanol pumps in the country. Speaking at an event, the minister said that since the price of petrol is higher than that of bio-ethanol.

Therefore, the public will be able to save more along with a reduction in air pollution.

Relief from rising prices of petrol and diesel: The need to turn to ethanol production.

Gadkari further said that all vehicles from auto-rickshaws to high-end cars will soon be able to run on ethanol.

The Minister has supported the need of the country to increase the scale of ethanol production from time to time.

It has recently been said that farmers need to turn to ethanol production instead of growing conventional crops to increase profitability as well as supply.

Will increase production.

He highlighted that the need for flex-fuel engines in vehicles is mainly based on the fact that the country spends around Rs 8 lakh crore every year on the import of fuel.

This figure may be lower if flex-fuel is used extensively. Thus ethanol production has to be increased to achieve this target.

The manufacturing of flex-fuel engines begins.

Last week the minister issued an advisory asking carmakers to introduce flexible-fuel engines in vehicles within six months.

The minister signed a file on Flex-Fuel Engines, which advises car manufacturers to make flex-fuel engines for their vehicles.

He said that the central government is working to encourage the use of green and alternative fuels.

He further mentioned that auto companies like TVS Motors and Bajaj Auto have started manufacturing flex-fuel engines for their two-wheelers and three-wheelers as well.

Flex-fuel or flexible fuel is an alternative fuel, made by mixing petrol with methanol or ethanol.

Flex-fuel is claimed as less polluting than petrol due to its biofuel nature. Flex-fuel engines can also run on both petrol and biofuel.
