Republic Day Parade: ITBP’s K9 Team Got The Charge Of Security

Republic Day parade: This ITBP team got the responsibility of security of Rajpath. The ITBP’s K9 team has been entrusted with the security of the parade to be held at Rajpath and India Gate area during the Republic Day celebrations.

The team includes a Belgian Malinois breed dog. For this, the Delhi Police had requested the ITBP to deploy their cracked K9 team so that India Gate and Rajpath could be sanitized and prepared for the parade.

These dogs have been trained to work in all weather conditions and in all areas. Dogs on this team are very friendly and attract people immediately.

They have also been trained on how to deal with people. Also, they also know very well how to react in suspicious situations.

These teams will showcase their qualities at India Gate and Rajpath.

The ITBP official said ITBP’s K9 team consists of highly trained and reliable dogs who recognize the smell of terror. They cannot be faulted in this and the security of Republic Day celebrations during the parade will also be sufficient.

These dogs have been working in various parts of the country including Naxalite affected areas. The ITBP said, “This team of dogs has been the largest contributor for Delhi Police in various assignments for the last decade.

These dogs belong to the K9 QRT (quick reaction team) team of ITBP, which is always present to support the Delhi Police when needed. “All these effective K9s’ brave dogs are being deployed this year,” the official said. Their ability to smell is very strong.
