There is important information for the devotees going to Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan. The system of issuing travel slips to the devotees for the journey from Katra to Bhawan has now stopped.

Instead of a travel slip, a travel card equipped with RIFD has been started by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

At present, these RIFD cards are being given at 29 places and antennas and readers have been installed at many places for their reading.

In fact, earlier there was a travel slip system for the pilgrims, which was available online and online. But now the RIFD system has been started. Under this project, CCTV cameras and 7 verification counters have been installed at 40 new locations.

Anshul Garg, CEO, of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said that with the RIFD system we will be able to monitor the pilgrimage of pilgrims in real-time.

He said that by an order by the Hon’ble Supreme, a maximum limit of 50,000 pilgrims has been placed for the peak days and by this system, we can keep an eye on that.

This will help us to regulate the journey, secondly, if this area is in an earthquake and landslide zone then this technology will also help our disaster management team and many lost and found problems like we can also track the pilgrims through this technology.

We can keep a watch on everything of the pilgrims like on which track and also by helicopter services the pilgrimage is being managed.

Pilgrims are also very happy with the new system and they say that it will help in smooth travel and is a very good initiative.
