Roshni Land Scam: 3162 Kanal Land Occupied In Samba

Roshni Land Scam:  3162 Kanal land occupied in Samba, the land worth of Crores of rupees in the names of children of former MP, MLA, and councilors.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration released another list of the occupants of the Roshni land scam late Saturday.

It consists of 407 people including a son of a former MP, two sons of a former Legislative Council chairman, a son of a former MLA, and a prominent businessman.

He has occupied 3162 kanals of land.

According to the data and list received from the Deputy Commissioner of Samba, Samba has the names of 407 people, including well-known politicians, businessmen, former councilors, and others.

According to official details, the former PDP councilor Nizamuddin Khatana has taken eight canals of land in Sunjawan.

Trader Sajjad Chaudhary owns 20 kanals of land. A government employee occupies 17 kanals and 9 marle land in Panjagra.

SL Gulati, owner of National Garage in Jammu, has opened motor garages in three canals and 9 marlas. A total of 3162 Kanal lands are occupied in six tehsils of Samba.

These include Vijaypur, Ghagwal, Ramgarh, Rajpora, and Badi Brahmana.

According to the list, the son of senior Congress leader and former councilor Prakash Chand Sharma has occupied 34 kanals and 11 marle land in Samba plath.

He also occupies 3 kanals of land in the Nandni area. Sahil Mahajan son of Sneh Gupta, the grandson of Congress MP Janak Raj Gupta, also occupies 20 kanals of land in Birpur under the guise of the Roshni Act.

Sahil bought this land from farmer Sahdev Singh and his son Keval.

Bikram Malhotra, son of former councilor Amrit Malhotra, has 17 kanals and 5 marle lands in village Plath. The second son of the councilor, Aditya Malhotra, occupied 17 kanals and 6 marle lands in the Plath.

In the list, businessman Sudhir Khurana’s son Nand Lal Hira Lal, the current place MV International School has occupied 25 kanals of land in Samba. The government is preparing to take action on these soon.
