Ruckus On Assam-Mizoram Border, Politics Has Heated Up

Ruckus on Assam-Mizoram border, Chief Ministers of both the states appealed to Home Minister Shah to intervene.

Violence erupted again on Monday along the Assam-Mizoram border. There are also reports of clashes on the border (Assam-Mizoram border) and attacks on vehicles.

The Chief Ministers of both the states have demanded the intervention of Union Home Minister Amit Shah by tweeting on this issue.

A video of this incident has surfaced in which people are seen carrying sticks. Recent tensions have fueled a dispute that has been going on for decades. Politics has heated up regarding this.

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has demanded the intervention of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the matter.

He tweeted that it should be stopped immediately. In another tweet, he wrote – While returning to Mizoram via Chahar, the innocent couple was attacked by goons and ransacked their car.

Ruckus on Assam-Mizoram border: After all, how would you justify such violent incidents.

At the same time, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has tweeted and complained to the Chief Minister of Mizoram and appealed to him to intervene in the matter.

He said- Respected Zoramthangaji, Kolasib (Mizoram) SP has asked us to step down from our post till their citizens listen and the violence stops.

You tell how we can run the government in such circumstances. I hope you will intervene in this matter as soon as possible.

Zoramthanga responded to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma’s tweet and raised questions on the Assam Police.

He wrote- Dear Himantaji, on behalf of Hon’ble Amit Shah Ji, after the cordial meeting of the Chief Ministers, surprisingly two companies of Assam Police lathi-charged the citizens.

Not only this, but the Assam Police also fired tear gas shells at the citizens. He also attacked CRPF personnel and Mizoram Police in the Mizoram border.

Let us tell you that the border dispute between the two neighboring states is old. Many talks have taken place since 1995 to end the border dispute between the two states but to no avail.

Three districts of Mizoram, Aizawl, Kolasib, and Mamit and three districts of Assam, Cachar, Karimganj, and Hailakandi are adjacent to each other.

These districts of both the states share a border of about 164.6 km with each other. The current controversy has come to the fore at a time when Amit Shah recently visited the Northeast.
