Samba Grenade Attack: Terrorists attack with grenade on a police station, no damage, search operation continues.
Terrorists launched a grenade attack on the police station late at night in the Nada area of Samba district, which is adjacent to the international border.
The gimmick was that this grenade exploded at some distance from the block, due to which there was no damage to the security forces.
The attackers fled from there in the dark of night before the security personnel responded to this action of the terrorists. Since late in the night, search operation of security forces is going on in the nad and its adjoining areas.
According to the information received from the police, the terrorists carried out this attack on Tuesday-Wednesday at midnight.
The grenade was attacked by the terrorists at the police station located in the Nad area falling on the Samba-Mansar road.
While throwing the grenade, the attackers missed the target and the grenade exploded some distance away from the block. The attackers disappeared in the dark of night shortly after the attack.
Meanwhile, the sound of grenades burst spread panic in the surrounding areas. Within about half an hour of the attack, Army, CRPF and SOG personnel reached the spot and started searching for terrorists.
Samba Grenade Attack: This search operation by the security forces and the presence of terrorists in the area have left people in panic.
However, the security forces have asked the residents living in the vicinity to inform the police or immediately upon seeing any suspects. The search operation is still going on in the area.
At the same time, IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said that the search operation of security forces is going on in Samba. The grenade lever has been recovered during a search operation.
There is a possibility that the terrorists may be present somewhere around. An alert has been issued in all the surrounding areas.
