Security agencies are on high alert even after the terrorists were wiped out at Ban Toll Plaza, Nagrota on Thursday.

Security was increased on the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway beside the city at the time of the encounter.

A security personnel was alerted in Sidda, Jhajjar Kotli, Saktar, Katra, Dommel, etc. areas adjoining Nagrota.

At the time of the encounter, the movement of vehicles was stopped by sealing the entire national highway.

Wherever he was, he was stopped right there. Apart from this, army helicopters also started hovering in the sky and the entire area was monitored.

The security personnel feared that besides these four terrorists, there could be more terrorists with them.

Therefore, security has been tightened in the border areas of Samba, Kathua, and Jammu districts apart from the city. In these areas, a full vigil is being exercised on the Nakas.

No vehicle is being allowed to proceed without investigation. The truck driver absconded from the spot as soon as the encounter started.

Security was beefed up on the National Highway and its surroundings to contain it. At the same time, security in Jammu city was also tightened after this encounter.

Trains were stopped in Narwal and Bahufort areas, especially on the Nagrota bypass route. No vehicles were being allowed to go ahead of Sidra, while trains were stopped near Manda in Jammu.
