Security Has Been Beefed Up At All Important Installations In J&K

Security has been beefed up at all important installations in Jammu Kashmir. If a suspicious object is seen in the sky, then the security personnel will shoot immediately.

Security has been beefed up at all important installations not only on the Line of Control (LoC) but also within Kashmir after the IAF’s drone attack on the Technical Airport in Jammu.

Proper use of technology is also being done to deal with this menace. Security personnel has been asked to shoot down any suspicious object in the air on sight.

A new strategy has been chalked out in a high-level meeting chaired by Lt Gen DP Pandey, Commander of the Army’s 15 Corps, to deal with the challenge of drone strikes.

Meanwhile, the police on Tuesday seized a drone that was flying over Dal Lake and registered a case against its operator.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has confirmed the meeting held at Chinar Corps Headquarters on the situation arising out of the drone strike.

He said that under the chairmanship of Lt Gen DP Pandey, all the security agencies have discussed the matter thoroughly. This is a very sensitive and dangerous matter.

This can be answered only with the help of state-of-the-art technology and this was the opinion of everyone in the meeting.

Police seized the drone hovering over Dal Lake, a case registered against the owner.

He said that in the meeting we have decided on a strategy to deal with this menace and it is being implemented on the ground.

The IGP said that a drone was flying over Dal Lake on Tuesday. Taking quick action, the police seized it. A case has been registered against the person who flew the drone.

Meanwhile, sources said that the air defense system has been made fully equipped in all sensitive areas of the plaintiff, including the LoC.

Apart from this, after reviewing the security arrangements of all important installations and military camps, comprehensive improvements have been brought into it in view of the possibility of drone attacks.

Security personnel has been instructed to shoot down any suspicious object in the sky, especially one that is flying around a sensitive installation.
