Security Review: J&K DGP Appreciates Police Personnel

Security Review: J&K DGP appreciates police personnel for helping people in medical facilities amid snowfall.

Director-General of Police Dilbag Singh asked the officers to make extra efforts to create a more conducive environment for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He praised the role of JK police personnel during the recent snowfall in the Kashmir Valley.

The Director-General of Police was addressing the first review meeting of this year with senior officers of the Kashmir Zone on Saturday in the police control room in Srinagar.

He said that apart from assistance in snow clearance at various places, the support given by the policemen for a medical facility is commendable.

The DGP said that the way in which the hands were extended to help people in cities and far-flung areas shows the commitment and determination of the people.

He appreciated the efforts of various District Police Units and District SSP, under whose supervision police personnel took pregnant women, sick persons to hospitals, and stranded persons to safe places.

The DGP directed the officials to keep tight security. Pakistan is always looking for opportunities to make a mess. Stringent action should be taken against elements found to be involved in anti-national activities.

In the meeting, the DGP emphasized increasing anti-terrorism operations to provide a peaceful environment in Jammu and Kashmir.

Said that JK Police along with its allied agencies and security forces are carrying forward the agenda of peace and said that every effort should be made to bring lasting peace to this place.

Security Review: The officials were instructed to make additional efforts to create a more conducive environment for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that a lot of good work has been done in the last year but much remains to be done in the near future.

He also said that 2020 was a successful year for the JKP and other forces and agencies working together on various fronts.

Emphasizing the strengthening of the highway safety grid, the DGP said that CCTV and other gadgets, as well as mobile patrol vehicles, would be provided to the Kashmir region for further deployment on the national highway.

The vehicles would enhance the capabilities of the local police so that on the highway Any contingency situation can be responded to better.

Passengers on the national highway will be provided with better security after improving these patrols with already established points.
