Security tightened regarding Amarnath Yatra, tourists will not be able to roam Chandanbari and Betab valley from tomorrow: Amarnath Yatra 2022.
Due to the security of Amarnath Yatra, the movement of general tourists in Chandanbari, Betab Ghati and Aadu Valley in the Anantnag district will be restricted on June 25.
No person shall be allowed to park a vehicle unauthorizedly on the road at any place in Pahalgam and its adjoining areas.
Anantnag District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Piyush Singhala issued orders in this regard on Thursday.
This order has been issued to maintain smooth traffic in Anantnag and Pahalgam in view of the Amarnath Yatra.
Meanwhile, mock drills were also held in Pahalgam and Baltal to test the preparedness for any emergency during the pilgrimage.
Shri Amarnath Yatra is starting on 30th June. Pahalgam in south Kashmir is the main base camp for going towards the holy cave.
The District Deputy Commissioner said that during the pilgrimage, there is a lot of crowd in Pahalgam and Chandanbari.
The road connecting Pahalgam to Anantnag is also one-way at many places. Hence the pressure on the vehicles remains.
In this sequence, there will be a ban on the movement of general tourists from June 25 on the routes of Chandanbari, Betab Valley, and Peach Valley.
This stop will not be on Circuit Road. Along with this, directions have been given to the Pahalgam Municipal Committee to put up boards of designated places for parking.
Security tightened regarding Amarnath Yatra: The parking facility will be available only for small motor vehicles at Nunwan Base Camp.
Meanwhile, mock drills were conducted in Baltal and Pahalgam under the supervision of Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain and Major General (Retd) Sudhir Bahl.
Officers and employees of the Army, NDRF, SDRF, Police, CRPF, and administration participated in it.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army, and paramilitary forces, which have taken up the responsibility of making the Amarnath Yatra a success, have also taken their fronts.
Apart from the yatra route, this security personnel has also been deployed inside the cities so that the terrorists do not create panic among the devotees by carrying out any incident.
