But the Serum Institute of India (SII) is also developing a corona vaccine for children. The company said that by October this year, the vaccine will be prepared and children will be introduced.

PC Nambiar, Director of Import-Export at SII gave this information at a program in Kochi. He said that the corona vaccine to be applied to children is likely to be ready by October this year.

This vaccine will be administered to children within one month of their birth. He said that this vaccine will be further developed as a medicine so that if children are infected with corona, it can be given to them.

The company sought permission for a clinical trial

Recently, Adar Poonawala, CEO of Serum Institute, said that the company is working on four more corona vaccines.

Out of this, the company has also sought permission from the Indian drug regulator for the Phase III clinical trial. Poonawala had said that this vaccine would be ready by June this year.

The serum has designed the vaccine against the coronavirus under the brand name Covishield. It has been developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

The company has so far produced its crore dosas. In India, this vaccine is also being applied to health workers in the vaccination campaign. Apart from this, biotech of India biotech is also being used in the vaccination campaigns.
