Sharjeel Imam Has Moved To A Lower Court For Bail

Sharjeel Imam has moved to a lower court for bail in a sedition case. His lawyer has withdrawn the bail plea from the Delhi High Court.

The issue regarding Imam’s bail was raised by the prosecution. After which he has been asked to approach the lower court.

After which now Special Judge of Karkardooma Court Amitabh Rawat will hear the application on Monday. The bail application has been filed by Talib Hussain, Ahmed Ibrahim, and Karthik Venu.

Referring to the directions of the Supreme Court.

The bail plea said that in view of the recent direction of the Supreme Court, Sharjeel Imam should be granted bail.

The Supreme Court had directed to adjourn all pending appeals and proceedings in respect of the charge made under Section 124A (sedition) of the Indian Penal Code.

Anil Deshmukh: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was admitted to ICU due to chest pain and other complaints.

Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh is currently in judicial custody and has been admitted to the hospital after he complained of high blood pressure and chest pain.

He said Deshmukh was suffering from uncontrolled high blood pressure and chest pain. He was admitted to the ICU at KEM Hospital here on May 25 for a stress thallium heart test.

The 72-year-old former minister was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in November 2021 in an alleged money laundering case.

The ED’s case is that Deshmukh while being the state’s home minister, through the then assistant police inspector Sachin Vaze had siphoned off various bars and restaurants in Mumbai.

The ED claimed that the money was diverted to the Nagpur-based Sri Sai Shikshan Sansthan, an educational trust controlled by the Deshmukh family.

Earlier this month, a court had dismissed Deshmukh’s plea seeking permission to undergo shoulder surgery at a private hospital. He said he can get himself treated at the city’s government-run JJ Hospital.
